LIFECYCLES
A lifecycle is the periodical hardware replacement. Each District Attorney's office is scheduled for a lifecycle approximately once every four years.
Printers are allocated to your office and lifecycled according to a formula.
Occasionally an office will want to keep a printer beyond what DAIT considers its useful life. In these cases, the printer may be transferred to the county, and it becomes county IT's responsibility to support and maintain it.
Network hardware tends to be a bit more resilient and is typically not replaced during every lifecycle. Changes to network security, connectivity with your county government's network, etc., may call for changes in DANET network hardware outside the normal lifecycle schedule.
